Designed and installed a complete security system for a residential property — covering every entry point and key interior areas, with full remote access from the client’s phone.

The Challenge

The homeowner had experienced a break-in attempt at a neighbouring property and wanted peace of mind. Their existing setup was a single outdated doorbell camera with no recording, no alerts, and no interior coverage.

What Was Done

Camera System

• 8-camera exterior coverage (front, rear, both side yards, garage, driveway)
• 4 interior cameras (entry hall, living room, garage interior, basement)
• Night-vision and weatherproof units rated for Canadian winters
• Local NVR with 4TB storage plus cloud backup for critical clips

Alarm Integration

• Wired contact sensors on all ground-floor doors and windows
• Motion detectors covering the main floor and basement
• Siren with interior and exterior alerts
• Full integration with camera system — alarm triggers camera recording and push notification

Mobile App Setup

• Configured remote viewing through a unified app for both cameras and alarm
• Set up customized alert zones and schedules to minimize false notifications
• Walked the client through the full interface and controls

Results

• Complete coverage of the property with no blind spots
• Real-time alerts sent within 2 seconds of motion or alarm trigger
• Client can arm, disarm, and review footage from anywhere
• System has been live for 6+ months with zero downtime
